Pound coaching...........

well i heard there wantin to try to get Roger Tompkins or Thompson..yes he is a peanut coach.and then i heard somethin about trying to get Greg Mullins to come from coeburn and take the job..but thats the only 2 i have heard mentioned.

You have no clue!!!!!!!!! Darius (spelled with an i by the way) Branham did play ball (football too) in high school and yes he did coach at UVA Wise. For FOURTEEN Years as a matter of fact. MUST HAVE BEEN DOING SOMETHING RIGHT!!!!!!
They went 10-0 one year and had several other winning seasons and went to the playoffs 1 year. And to set the record straight for another post, he WAS NOT fired from the college. He gave it up to be with his son. But acts like that are not worthy of printing obviously. Hard to trash someone about that.

If you people are going to trash someone on here please do us all a favor and get the facts because quite frankly people who really care about these boys and the entire program are getting sick of your childish comments and useless and most often wrong statements. Or better yet, find something constructive to do and GROW UP!!!!!!!!!

i thought the personnel director from wise county schools did the hiring for the county schools.

Sorry to burst your little bubble but Roger is no longer a peanut coach.He is a coach at LCCH.And I can put money on it that if he were the coach more kids would come out to play also.

oh well im sorry he was a pnut coach and what is he an assistant coach over there??...

does roger have his teachin degree since you know so much about him and want him to be out there so bad??
and i can guarantee that more kids at that school like Jason more than Roger well besides you and your family..

i don't know the situation in pound but there is a reason nobody wants to coach there. their baseball job was open and nobody wanted it. i know of some good coaches out there, but nobody wants to coach there.

more kids would come out? Who didint come out? They had a decent amount of kids out this past year, he gonna clone them? They arent that many kids there in the first place, geezz, how about just breaking away from the county and becoming a independent school.

Be careful about putting your money where your mouth is... my son for one would never,NEVER, play for him. I try not to let a coach influence whether my son plays a sport or not, but this is one time I guarantee you he would not play because of a coach.

That's your opinion and I have no problem with it.But I think if it is Roger that gets to help with coaching then I have no problem letting my son play for him.
